For the month of February, we will introduce a temporary change to our gallery programme by partially transforming the gallery into a studio.
The gallery has been operating from its current location for over three years, during which time we have maintained a consistent rhythm of primarily six-week exhibitions in the front space, alongside a more fluid and frequently changing presentation in the office space. For February, we will relocate the office and transform it into a temporary studio for four of our represented artists.
This initiative responds to a desire within our community to connect more closely - and over a longer period of time - with the artists. While studio visits are often the most natural way to do so, they are not always practically feasible. By bringing the studio into the gallery, we aim to create a more accessible and informal setting for exchange.
Throughout the month, Joost Krijnen, Barbara Hanlo, Marieke Zwart, and Hans Hoekstra will each work in the office space for one week. Each artist will use the space to focus on a specific project while engaging with visitors.
The studio will be open to visitors during regular opening hours (Thursday - Saturday, 13:00–18:00). You are very welcome to visit multiple times throughout the month. Should you wish to visit outside regular opening hours, please feel free to contact us by email, and we will do our best to arrange a suitable time.
In March, we will return to our regular programme with the opening of Michael Tedja’s solo exhibition on March 6.
